What's Happening

New Executive Positions Posted. More to be determined.

The new KBNC executive positions have just been posted (see About -> ‘Executive’). However, many positions and committees are still up for consideration so feel free to volunteer.

The positions are as follows:

PRESIDENT (BERNARD OSEI)

a.) Be the presiding officer over executive board and general body meetings.

b.)Set the agenda, Schedule and chair monthly executive committee meetings.

c.) Chair of education Committee

d.) Oversee administrative operation of club in compliance with the Club Constitution and Bylaws

e.) Take on and delegate projects as needed

VICE PRESIDENT (EMEKA NZEKWU)

a.) Be the presiding officer over executive board and general body meetings in the president’s absence.

b.) Take over the duties of the president as necessary

C) Ensure club has an ongoing membership-building program.

d.) Chair of Special Events

VP FINANCE (NICOLAS FRANCIS)

a.)Collect and keep track of dues

b.) Keep a detailed record of all financial transactions of the KBNC and submit a written financial report based on these records to

the Executive Council at the end of each semester and at any meeting when requested by the General Body.

c.) Bring a detailed financial account at each Executive Board meeting.

d.) Chair the finance committee

e.) Arrange and head fundraising efforts.

VP EXTERNAL (IOANA MEDREA)

a. The extrovert of the club communicating with all external spheres of interest to further the clubs networks

b. The development and maintenance of effective relationships with various constituencies

c. Chair of External Relations Committee

VP PUBLIC RELATION (NICOLE WU)

a.) Promote membership programs

b) Produce and distribute a club newsletter at least monthly

c) Announce upcoming events and programs

d.) Chair the Publicity and Recruitment Committee

WEB MANAGER (ANDREW BARSZCZYK)

Maintain club website and use all available sources of technology to traffic club on the internet

DIRECTOR OF MEDIA RELATIONS (ADVERTISED)

Gets KBNF and KBNC into the newspapers on the radio for all major events hosted

DIRECTOR OF MARKETING (ADVERTISED)

Takes care of all promotional and educational material will have a team with a graphics designer.

DIRECTOR OF STUDENT ACTIVITIES (YATTIN CHENG)

a. Provides leadership for all student activities of KBNC member universities.

b. Provides management and direction to the student activities and in frequent communication with KBNC Task Rep.

d. Developing and manage services and programs related to student and campus programming

c. Reports to the Vice President

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT (AWAITING CONFIRMATION)

a.) Maintain lines of communication within the organizations

b.) Rule, observances at stated meetings

c.) Handle all incoming emails and forward it to the required executive as needed

d.) Take minutes at meetings

Committees

Publicity & Recruitment Committee

a. To develop and implement recruiting and awareness strategies for KBNC

b. To develop and implement any other advertising projects to promote community awareness.

c. Creative development.

d. Media selection.

e. Development and publication of the Annual Report.

f. Evaluate the effectiveness of response to advertising tools.

g. Supply publicity for all Events.

h. Develop and revamp posters, brochures, to make them student oriented etc. as needed.

Education

a. President will be chair of Education Committee

b. Will be responsible for the implementation of educational initiatives in consultation with KBNF education chair

c.) Will serve as the main developmental source of KBNC educational initiatives in consultation with KBNF education Chair

d.) Pursue Neuro residents, medics and professionals and establish academic connections in universities

d.) Pursue institutional collaborations

External Relations

a. Provide advice and support on advancement initiatives and linkages with external organizations

b. Build external alliances and strategic partnerships

c. Community outreach initiatives and professional development projects

Fundraising

a. Develop and maintain a Fundraising strategy as the need arises

b. Search out new creative, fundraising strategies using web and print resources.

C .Implement fundraising initiatives and track success.

D .Maintain a membership database and report on funds raised from members and donations.

Special Events

Shall be in charge of sourcing all special events e.g. Activities night in new schools, Neuroscience Conferences etc…
